This is a new blog for posting writing and images of the Montreal River as it changes through the seasons. The first thing I need to do is get a camera to shoot the first image. The temperature today is below 30 degrees. The grinding of snow crystals on the way to work this morning was an obvious clue that winter is here. The good thing about this is that the ice will thicken out on the lake and safe travel is a guarantee. We can walk across the lake to town now without worrying about open water in the narrows at the end of the bay.
